A programmable intrusion detection method is presented to identify the malicious attacks distributed energy resources (DERs) in cyber–physical networked microgrids. The proposed injects small signals into system and uses response abnormal conditions. Because of low or even zero inertia induced by integrations DER power-electronic-interfaces, microgrids have very limited resilience capability; thus, being sensitive attacks. One microgrid’s malfunction caused can easily propagate its neighboring systems when several are connected, leading catastrophic electricity supply failures. Through method, intrusions be effectively detected, located, defended for securing Theoretical derivations provided define rules. rule easy flexible update, making it difficult attack actors gain knowledge rules, order avoid detected.
